    My husband and I are in our late fifties and have been fat all our lives, and the truth is that we liked it that way; or at least that’s what we always said. However, when it became clear that our weight was starting to affect our everyday lives we’ve decided that it was about time to do something about it. And believe me when I say that it wasn’t an easy decision to make, as were used to having big breakfasts, even bigger lunches, and not quite light dinners. We thought that by living out in the open, in a small rural town, we were somehow protected from the diseases that hit the people of the big cities, but of course we were wrong.

    We’ve tried a few different diets over a long period of time but none of them seemed to work for us. We did lose some weight, but that came at a high price, as we’d feel hungry all the time, raid the fridge in the middle of the night, or even get angry for no reason at all. We seemed to be at a dead end until recently, when our children came for a visit and brought along the solution to our problem. Okay, they didn’t exactly bring it, but they found it for us. They told us we should follow a Paleo diet, and at the beginning we felt as if we were talking to aliens. But then they explained everything to us, downloaded this book on our computer and things became clear as day. Thanks to the author and his work now we are on our way to a healthier way of life.
