Q: Let’s get this out of the way first: Are YOU living the thin life? How can I trust your weight loss tips?

A: In 1999, I decided enough was enough. It was time to lose the weight. I was sick of trying diet after diet and failing. I needed weight loss strategies that would work for ME, and then I needed a weight maintenance plan that would help me keep the weight off. I buckled down, created my own weight loss plan, and achieved my ideal weight within a year. The best part? I’ve maintained that healthy weight ever since.

Q: Congrats on finding a plan that worked for you! But what qualifies you to write a dieting and weight loss guide for OTHER people?

A: I’ve seen friends, family, and coworkers stuggle with weight loss. They’ve tried low fat diets, they’ve tried low carb diets, they’ve tried every healthy dieting technique under the sun (and some unhealthy ones too!). Some of them lose weight, some don’t. Some keep it off, some don’t. I realized that weight loss strategies are different for everyone. So I collected all my weight loss tips—and those from friends and family—into this dieting and weight loss guide. That way YOU can find a plan that works for YOU! I’m not a doctor but I AM living the thin life, which I hope convinces you that you can do it too!

Q: Since everyone is different, how can you find what will work for me?

A: I’ve got you covered! I’ve created a diet personality quiz where you can find out which “animal” you are and get weight loss tips for your type. For example, I’m a deer. I like to eat many small meals throughout the day, so if I don’t watch calories it can quickly add up. Tips for me are to eat low-calorie foods and to exercise throughout the day to balance it out. Other personalities might need to watch portion size or stick to a low fat diet.

Q: Is this book just for women? And why should readers pick this book instead of the 100s of other books promoting the next greatest weight loss tips?

A: This diet book is for everyone, not just women. Almost all of us have at least a few pounds to lose, and if not we might be looking for a weight maintenance plan. You need to find the right weight loss strategies for you, not the latest fad diet or bogus fitness advice. I’ve been there, wasted tons of time on that. You can get great weight maintenance and weight loss tips in my dieting and weight loss guide, without any gimmicks.

    While reading this book I found it to be full of useful (and motivational!) tips, how to identify your own eating personality (I’m a koala), detailed guides on how to customize your plan,quizzes, and so much more As a diet tool I found it very helpful. There were a few things I found a little hard. For example cutting out sweets all together at once is super hard for me and always sets me up to fail. What I took away from the book was that finding my style of dieting is what is most important.

    While finding out that I’m a `gorilla’ didn’t exactly make me happy, I must say that the tips and advice in this book, for the most part, are right on the money. As an overweight person for most of my life, I’m doing everything I can these days to stay slim, which includes being very vigilant about what I put in my body every day. The advice that I’ve found so far in this relatively small but helpful book has been excellent.

    What I can say is that Living The Thin Life is definitely helpful for people who have already lost weight and want to keep it off. The author, Elle Meyer, writes in a very refreshing style and, even though she’s not a trained nutritionist, much of what she has to say, and the advice that she gives, is very helpful.

    I will say this; I use Garcinia Cambogia regularly to help me keep my hunger cravings down and the combination of that and the weight loss tips and suggestions on how to eat healthy and stay active in this book have been excellent. I highly recommend it!
