    I wanted to read this book when I saw the title, I wanted to know how in the world she lost that much weight in 3 months. With all the different diets out there, how is one to know which one will work best, well this author followed her own diet. I loved her chapter on The Non Diet Weight Loss Diet. Not only did the author share her positives but she also included her negatives. She includes lists of great foods to eat that aided her in her weight loss, plus she included her diet pros and cons. Great book and I recommend it for anyone wanting to lose weight.

    THIS IS SO TRUE. You can definitely build your own plan and lose tons of weight. It does not have to be a super low calorie plan, or anything unhealthy. All you need to do is do exactly what Roberta did and plan out your meals as well as your activities entirely around YOU. I did a similar thing years back when I had tipped my personal weight scale fears and there was no way I would follow any diet or exercise program without failing at some point. People do not realize that self-sabotage is quite real, which is essentially what Roberta tries to avoid. Why then try to follow plans that have nothing to do with us, our personalities, or our budgets or lifestyles. You all can do it, like the author did. Let healthy happen for you. It is very true that it can happen. It CAN happen for you!

    Normally I roll my eyes when I see books or websites that start with “My Story.” Usually the stories are all the same story about how the writer was fat, hated themselves, struggled, lost weight, regained it, lost it and so on, but I did buy the book after reading the sample because the author had such a compelling story, but alas it was that story that made me a little bored with the book after a few pages. I’m an info junkie and I was looking for information about how she lost all of this weight, but it isn’t revealed until little the very last few pages. This is more of an autobiography of sorts and in the end it is basically the same things that we know: stay away from processed foods, refined carbs, and so on. I am now convinced though that there is nothing new to be learned about losing weight.

    If you want to read a decent book about someone’s struggles with weight loss, then this is it, but if you are looking for a book with “meat” and strong detail about weight loss, this is not the one.
