    I was asked to read and review this book so here it goes: I found the book different from almost everything I have heard in the past, however as I read the book I became more convinced that the tip do work. I especially liked the thought that you must love your food and yourself and get off the guilt bandwagon. I will attempt to apply these tips into my eating from now on. Thanks for the tips!

    A great no nonsense book to a sensible diet. Haw explains the success of a a typical french diet, that is based on whole foods in reasonable portions. She explains the success of what and how they eat, encouraging Americans to reconsider using lard over vegetable oils, and embracing a high protein, low carb diet, with three rather than the five meals currently recommended. This is right on trend with all the information on the Palio diets coming out and seem to make a whole lot of sense. Diabetes, heart disease and obesity are rampant in the American culture and our French counterparts appear not to be having these issues. She debunks the trends of drinking too much water, raw food, the overdosing on vegetables and explains why your body needs the protein. Smart, easy to read, she also goes into the harm of too much exercise. Based on fact, and good old fashion common sense, it is a great way to “digest” information about what foods do and how they affect you. Seemingly easy, it is the next new way to look at food and consider what and how we are eating.
