I simply loved how this mom of 4 broke it down for others to see that she worked hard at keeping her girlish figure. As I read through her book she touched on everything from getting motivated, keeping motivated, and even sharing delicious healthy recipes with her readers. She understands the true trials and errors of losing weight and maintaining it. I also loved how she gave alternatives to going to the gym and also how she stressed that it is not a temporary change but a life style change.

Excellent read and I recommend anyone looking for a successful way to lose weight to definitely get this book to read.

Though I am not “desperate” to lose weight, I am very interested in toning and keeping my slim figure without a ton of issues. Stacy is a normal girl, but she wasn’t always. She had weight issues just like anyone else, but unlike the rest of America, she actually did something about it. This book is packed with her diet and exercise secrets that she used on her own to lose weight that she was not ok with.

I think that the most important thing to note is that she not only outlines everything we as fitness newbies need to know, but she gives an update on how she is after writing and losing weight. I am skinny and I can assure you her tips have helped me keep it that way.

This is a cool read because it is mainly about behaviors and tricks rather than on following a specific diet. As such, Stacy gives pointers that people can follow, and not just women, when you are going through an uphill battle with weight. The main problem with weight is that people make it such an issue it starts becoming nearly a mythological feat. Losing weight is not easy, but it definitely does not have to be difficult. In the book, the “skinny chick” talks about ways to deflect your attention from food and focus on you, instead. She is right in that we mainly eat without thinking. If we had other sources of feel-good motivation, we would think of food last. Think about the times we develop a “crush” on someone. What is the first thing we do? We lose our appetites, and our sole focus of devotion is that person whom we like. Then, we want to get skinny and pretty and food continues to be the last thing on our minds….this is until we break up and all havoc breaks loose. Then we eat for comfort. Notice how in both examples food is not even necessary–but we make it so. This is what the book is about: Better choices of better food behaviors.
